Prayer for the Tornado-Torn South

[an excerpt from an update from our brother Jim who is serving this week in Alabama]

Hi all,

I have arrived safely in Birmingham, AL. Tomorrow will be my first day out in the field. We are tasked to clear debris that were once homes of countless families that are devastated by the ravaging tornadoes. Communities are literally flattened into nothing but mounts of debris across the horizon. Once vibrant towns are now hauntingly quiet with only relief workers and national guards populate in them. The landscape is forever changed.

I’ll try to update throughout my stay here.

I thank you for your uplifting prayers and I covet more of them as we together partner with God in reaching out to and embracing the brokenhearted.
