Hello, this is Cindy. Today’s schedule was pretty much the same as last week as this is our second Tuesday here. We started with Morning Prayer with the Jesus Soldiers, in personal quiet time, worship, corporate prayers, and a brief devotional from a Jesus Soldier on Proverbs 10. Then we were split up into our 4 campus groups again. The feel for today was different from last week, at least for me, because we focused more on meeting up with the students that we met last week. So our group didn’t talk to as many new students today. After Campus Ministry, we went to Homeless Ministry, where we got to hear testimonies from one of their own church members, and our very own, Tiffany. The Gospel Skit was performed for them, followed by a sermon on the Prodigal Son (Luke 15) by David, and we ended by singing “The Saving One” for them. We had the privilege to pray with the church, for their members, and for the people who are struggling to believe. Then they fed us delicious maki sushi, Japanese snacks, and pineapple. And we were able to get to know the church members more as we ate.
I was really amazed today, how as we faithfully serve God with all of our hearts, He is faithful and there will be much fruit. I was really happy seeing the students that we talked to throughout last week actually come out to English Club, to meet and talk with us again. I was able to introduce them to the Jesus Soldiers, so that they can build longer relationships with them. I can really see God working here in Japan, and it’s such an encouragement for me to know that God wants me to participate in His redemptive story. I am learning that I don’t need to be afraid because He will empower me to be bolder and to reach out to the students here in Japan.
Please pray that we would finish this trip strong, we only have less than 4 days here, pray that we would give it our all for the glory of God. Pray that as we receive God’s love and grace daily that we will be poured out for the people around us, the students, Jesus Soldiers, and the team.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
