Among the many things God has graced our church with the last three years as a church plant, our relationship with Naperville Presbyterian Church (NPC) stands out. NPC has been instrumental to the growth of our church as they’ve supported us, prayed for us, and provided a space for us to worship in. Therefore, it is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that we will be moving our worship location, come January 5, 2014.
By God’s grace, starting on the first Sunday of 2014 marks an important step for us as a church. We will be worshiping at National Louis University in Lisle for our Sunday services. National Louis is located right off I-88 and Route 53. For the many commuters we have from the city and the surrounding suburbs, it reduces their commute by about 20 minutes.
In addition, we will be moving the worship time to 10:30AM, making it better for families with little ones as well as not cutting the day in half. But please keep in mind we meet at 10:30 sharp. If you get there late you miss out on quite a bit.
We are trusting God to do incredible things in this next season of Redemption Church. Let’s keep praying.
Some FAQ’s regarding the move:
Where is the new location?
National Louis University in Lisle. The address is 850 Warrenville Road Lisle, IL 60532. It’s one minute off of I-88 (Rt 53 exit). It’s 30 minutes from the city, 30 minutes from Schaumburg, 10 minutes from Midwestern U., and anywhere from 5-15 minutes from the Lisle/Naperville area.
How soon are we moving there?
We will have our first service there on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 10:30AM.
What kind of rooms are available for the Sunday school/youth ministry?
We have three large classrooms available for our youth with separate spaces for discussion and breakout times.
What about basketball and volleyball fellowship?
Sports fellowship in the NPC gym will continue. We are still welcome to reserve space at NPC for church functions.
How does NPC feel about our move?
The leadership at NPC are extremely supportive of our move and feel it’s the right time.
What about outreach in this new location?
Being more accessible geographically opens up many opportunities for us. We want to humbly serve the surrounding area with Gospel truth and love. We want to leverage our new location right by the highway to access and engage the surrounding suburbs. This is our prayer and hope and one of the biggest reasons for our move.
