Japan – Summer Missions Team

As shared this past Sunday service, TRC will be sending a team of young adults to Japan for a 2 week short-term missions trip. The team will be partnering with J-House church in Osaka and will work to help empower and encourage the local ministry that God has established there. Please pray for the team as they spend the last week preparing their hearts (and logistically) to minister in Japan!

A couple of quick facts about Japan:

  • Overall, the population of Japan is approximately 128 million (Osaka – 2.67 million)
  • The Christian population in the entire country is less than 1%.
  • The largest religion is Buddhism (around 70% of the population).

The team will be ministering primarily in two ways:

  1. Campus Evangelism – visit university campuses to establish friendships in the hopes of ultimately sharing the Gospel.
  2. Homeless ministry – help pass out food to the homeless, share from the Word of God, and share presentations (skit, songs, testimonies).

Prayer Requests (among many):

  • For a servant’s heart as we partner with J-House Church to minister to the people of Japan.
  • Team unity
  • Empowerment and guidance from God, that we may be used for His Redemptive Work!

Please keep the team in your prayers as they leave Sunday (6/1) morning and return Saturday (6/14) evening. Arigatou gozaimasu (thank you very much)!
