Retreat Home

We are extremely excited to be hearing from Chris and Karen Hodge for this year’s congregational retreat! We warmly invite you to join us for a few days of worship, prayer, and fellowship.

Driven by a passion to share the joy giving good news of Jesus Christ, Pastor Chris Hodge has been active in Christian ministry since his conversion at twenty-one years of age. He has served in churches small and large in five states over his twenty plus years of service. He was the Senior Pastor of Naperville Presbyterian Church (2006-2018). He is now the church planting Pastor for King’s Cross Church in Fort Mill, SC. Chris leads out of a deep awareness of his own brokenness and need for God’s grace and help. He knows that all people desperately need to be perpetually made new through the work of the Holy Spirit. Towards that end, he pours himself into the preaching and teaching of the Bible in its entirety because he knows that is where God has perfectly revealed Himself and His plan for this world. He loves people and encourages the church to live out her faith through selfless relationships. He creatively pursues new ideas and opportunities for meeting and serving others because he wants everyone to experience the thrill of living with deep pleasure in the purpose God has for them in Jesus Christ. He wants to see, share, and spread the glory of God! Joining Chris in his passions are his wonderfully gifted wife, Karen, and their two children, Anna Grace and Haddon.

Karen Hodge serves as the Coordinator for PCA Women’s Ministry, where she seeks to connect women and churches to one another and to sound resources. She is also having the time of her life serving alongside her husband, pastor and best friend Chris. Chris and Karen have two adult children, Anna Grace Botka and Haddon Hodge. It is from the perspective of a wife, mother, leader and fellow pilgrim that she hopes to offer insights from God’s Word concerning how she and they can most effectively learn to enjoy and extend God’s glory. Karen, along with Susan Hunt, authored Transformed: Life-taker to Life-giver and Life-giving Leadership.
