Core ministries

Our ministries play a crucial role in forming our spiritual community. These are our spaces where life is shared honestly and the growth of our understanding of God’s Word flourishes. Through regular rhythms of gathering, prayer, service, and mutual care, we connect people to the gospel in each individual's specific age and season of life.

Formation Groups

Formation Groups are a space for deeper relationships, discipleship, accountability and spiritual formation. Along with the Word and prayer, we believe that community is vital to our growth and formation. If you're looking for a community to invest in and journey with, we pray that this will be a space for God to work powerfully in and through.

Each group consists of 10–12 people who are committed to spiritual formation with others. Please prayerfully consider committing to a Formation Group! Signups are open every August and January with groups remaining closed between these months.

Youth Group

Our heart is for every generation to know and experience the Gospel in a life changing and life giving way. We desire for each student to have a personal faith, so they may continue to walk with God through whatever path He may lead them post-high school.

Our students are between 6th grade and 12th grade. We meet one Saturday a month at various homes throughout the suburbs to have Bible study, general discussions around our faith, and fellowship. Parents will need to drop off and pick up students.

Children's Ministry

Our children’s ministry strives to foster a secure and nurturing environment for all children from age 2 to 5th grade. Our desire is for every child to know the one true God (John 17:3) and share His love with others. We pray children will be able to come as they are and find their identity in Christ. We firmly believe in partnering with parents and empowering them to raise disciples of Christ Jesus. Our curriculum is an adaption of Orange Kids, which strives to provide tools to give kids a faith that will last forever and make our church a place they want to be. The curriculum’s goal is for kids to grow up making wiser choices, building stronger relationships, and developing a deeper faith.

Children's ministry is available at our morning service in Lisle. All volunteers receive ongoing curriculum, safety, and sexual abuse (via MinistrySafe) training.

Undergrad

We want to support students as they navigate the stresses of classes and relationships, while helping cultivate their personal relationship with Jesus that will sustain beyond their college years. The ministry is mostly composed of Wheaton College students. We meet every Friday at 7pm for Bible study and fellowship. There are also regular hangouts after Sunday services where we share a meal, grab a cup of coffee, or other planned activities.
